He mumbles and makes odd noises in his sleep. Not gross noises or immensely disturbing ones, but odd ones nonetheless. He didn’t shift around much from being moved, but he did give a groggy glance around before possibly sleeping again.

“No eating my clients.” Cobalt responds as he picks up Steve’s sleeping form with his magic “Annoying as they may be I can’t afford to have a body count on my hands.” he walks in and sets Steve down on a couch as Star finally reaches the top of the stairs “Though now that I got my paycheck I suppose lunch is on me if you’re interested.”

“Be careful doing that! There’s only so much of my paycheck I can devote to health potion ingredients!” Cobalt calls up the stairs after the rolling mare.
 
“To be perfectly honest I was actually scared out of my wits the whole time.” Cobalt responded as he began counting out the bits in the bag “If you guys hadn’t been here to back me up, that whole situation probably would have gone much differently and I can’t say I wouldn’t have done anything I would later regret.”

Star shrugs as she shuts the door and rolls back up the stairs.

The mare steps back, stunned. Clearly this was not how she envisioned this day going…
 
Cobalt steps forward with a smug grin. “Look, I don’t want any more trouble than you do; all I want is to put some food on my table, restock my materials, and maybe replace some equipment. That’s why I make a living using my magic, and why I agreed to this job in the first place. I don’t intend to hurt you, but nor am I letting you back out on our agreement. If you want this” he holds up his box “you’re going to pay me what you owe. Or would you rather have the Guard get involved after all?”
 
 
After a moment of angry deliberation, Hardback relents and produces a sack of Bits, which she throws at Cobalt’s feet as he hands her the box with his magic. “You ought to be ashamed of yourself.” she huffs as she trots off with the box.
 
“And good day to you too.” Cobalt turns and trots back in his tower, head held high and bits held by magic. The last glares given by Miss Hardback would imply this may not be the end of it, though.
