It’s been two months and I never got my arts badge. You decided to run it once and then never did it again, didn’t you, SP? :)

But screencaps, meta, obligatory pony, image macros, and exploitable memes don’t count toward the Fine Arts badge.
 
Not even my edited screencaps would count toward it, since both “edit” and “screencap” negate it.

Considering that most screencaps, meta, obligatory pony, image macros, exploitable memes, etc. are going to be safe, I think high-volume lower-score works for that badge. 100 is a little low, though. That’s like 70% of safe pics (36k of 51k). Bump it up to 150 and it’s about 20% (11k of 51k).
 
For the Pony Plot Provider badge, if we’re gonna go with the same ratio, then it should be also be 150 (18k of 90k). If we’re going by the same volume, then it should be 200 (also around 11k). There’s actually less than 3k (questionable OR explicit) pics with score.gte:350. So I imagine that badge wouldn’t be very common if it stays at 350.
 
Edit: Forgot to take suggestive pics into account. And forgot that Pony Plot badge only needs 10 pics at the moment. Oops.

As far as I know the only person eligible for such a badge would be Carcer and/or Launchycat. But even then I wouldn’t like to presume.
 
So the Mystery badge isn’t that. I mean, daaaaang, we don’t get around that much.

Like many features, badge system went from age-old feature idea to “FUCK IT YOU GUY’S, I’M DOING THIS NOW” in like a day.

So we’ve got score-based badges for safe stuff, smutty stuff, grimdark stuff, donations, the top secret badge of mystery, the noble duck badge, and the ‘when we joined’ badges to name a few.

Maybe for grimdark just count total upvotes rather than overall score. There seems to be a ton of people here who just downvote grimdark purely out of spite (Like OH NOES THEY KILLED FLUTTERSHY GHRRRGBLBBLRLRLGR) rather than because it’s low quality.

That number must be around a score of 50 or so. They aren’t very high scoring.  
Considering that there are ~224/13504 with a score >100, and ~1031/13504 with a score >50.  
So how about 30 Grimdark uploads with a score above 50?

And can we get a badge for 100 Uploads with a score above 100 in general? This seems at least acquirable for more people.

Different purposes. “Sexy” art gets a lot of uploads because it’s sexy, with a lot less interest in “quality”. Uploading large amounts of non-sexy art that gets high scores takes a lot of dedication, vs. being the lucky user to upload an artists’ release of one great image with 3 variations.
 
Whenever I get time to sort out a “grimdark” badge, the scores and image number will also be adjusted appropriately to the average vote behavior.

Just a quick question surrounding the Fine Arts and Perfect Pony Plot Provider badges. Why is it the Fine Arts badge requires such a high number of uploads with a score of 100 or more? Compared to the Plot badge, that only needs 10, it seems a little lopsided. I seem to recall someone mentioning it was much easier to get explicit and suggestive images with high scores than it was for safe and questionable. Shouldn’t the minimum image requirement be a little more even in that regard?
