Hey, hope you’re still not sick of AI problems.
I’ve been vocal about using AI in my art but I’ve seized to put actual bits of AI-generated imagery in my artworks, therefore stopped to tag my art AI-assisted. But I still reference AI imagery while drawing because sometimes it’s easier to ask AI for a good reference image than to google refs for hours. Referencing means looking at several images and studying certain aspects of them in order to improve your own piece, it’s not tracing or colour picking. Yet, because I look at lots of AI art specifically, my art sometimes feels like it’s generated.
Should I report such comments as derailing conversation or something?
Should I put “AI assisted” under artwork that has zero AI-generated pixels but is still inspired by AI? It’s just weird to do so, kinda implies that I should also use “photography assisted” and “other people’s art assisted” since I borrow from those, too
