I used to spend hundreds of dollars on my nieces and nephews birthdays and I metaphorically got my gift giving shat all over and ignored cause A)it wasn’t a iphone/new computer and B)their parents thought I was spending that money on anime or such when in reality I gave them tons of toys and such that they wanted. Hell last time I talked about the toys I got their kids I got them angry cause they kept saying that I bought them the toys.
