That’s a really poor edit. XD The entire panel. The actual chars there are Sally and Julie Su. The knux is actually Lara Su back there, smaller sonic is his son(with sally).

Actually the Knuckles and Amy Chaos where not legitimately obtainable apart form a possible special event in Japan, there is no real info on it, the Tails Chao requited a Phantasy Star Online quest on the Game Cube version with Tiny Chao Garden connected.

Supposedly, you had to do some stuff in other games (like Phantasy Star Online) to get the Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Chaos.

I might have if I knew how, but meh, sounds like even more of a time sink than necessary to me :P

i made the “perfect” chao using a mod for the steam version
 
i can’t do half the races because the chao has to be on the ground to win, and dat lvl99 flying skill doesn’t come in handy

Me and my brother were a little obsessive when was about making The Perfect Chao. I had Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, that integrates new things in the Chao Gardern, like toys and new minigames. The minigames were the priority, and getting the best animals were important. Any bad Chao that was made was *purged*,
 
The most important minigame was the one where your Chao race versus other Chaos. We took an entire week to make the perfect Sonic Chao, because you need to be very cautions because making a Sonic Chao is difficult. If the Chao turns blue and have spikes, then the process was perfect. If the chaos was green, and tall, then you did something wrong.

I dunno, I did stage select quite often. Though the Chao Garden is just as much of a time sink as the regular game.
 
I never gave any of my Chao any animals after I saw how mutated they became. Any “mutant Chao” went to the “purgatory” Chao Garden and it was pretty much a quarantine zone. I stuck mainly to the Hero and Dark gardens. I had one Hero Chao named Rascal who had the Dark Chao kind of slasher smile but he was pretty much pure Hero otherwise. He lived a strong 4 years or so, he was amazing. It was a sad day when the Chao gods finally took him.
 
I’ve had other Chao with interesting personalities, like another Hero Chao named Cyclone who always looked tired, and I think a Dark Chao named Makuta who always seemed to want to drown himself before he eventually learned how to swim. Makuta was a weird little guy actually I think Makuta might have been a girl…
 
But goddamn if I didn’t love the stages just as much.

If you played Sonic Adventure 2, I bet you passed more time in Chao Garden than the story mode.

…I’ve come to the conclusion that Sonic Boom as a whole is just a deconstruction.
 
Did ya’ll see that episode where Eggman sued Sonic? Ya know that exchange between Sonic and Knuckles when they established that Knuckles was gonna be Sonic’s defense attorney? Pretend Sonic is SEGA and Knuckles is Big Red Button.
 
…see, that’s why the games turned out the way they did and why the cartoon is pretty much hyperfocused on jokes.

Actually, I just realized that for some reason, I was mixing up Mission Street and Hidden Base’s music when I was saying that Mission Street was my least favorite theme. It’s definitely Hidden Base (though even that one isn’t BAD).
 
…Also, for some reason, Hidden Base is the only Tails mission that I can consistently get an A Rank on every time I replay the game.
