I would place the mouth lower down on the muzzle, it looks like it’s too high up on the face and that your 3D model is pouting almost.

tldr; I don’t like the SFM models so I’m making my own for everyone to edit and use… However I am struggling with hair, are there any fellow modelers who would like to give me a hand?

So I decided to try my hand at 3d modeling because I was unhappy with the current quality of models we have and the fact that besides the ones you see used in SFM none of them are the original files that you can edit. I wanted something a little bit more proportioned and realistic… That being said I have no experience whatsoever in modeling; I have however persevered.

It’s not perfect and needs more work but currently I am trying my hand at making hairstyles and finding it more of a challenge than making the actual pony model. I am going to throw up my original blender files for people to use and edit but I didn’t want to just release a bald, blank textured pony without a skeleton so I’m seeing if anyone here would want to give help/pointers on hair so that I might be able to release this a bit faster for the community. I’m fairly confident I can do it all alone but making hairstyles will massively slow me down and I still need to teach myself how to texture a model.

That all being said I’d like to know, does it look alright or do I need to go back to the drawing board?

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
