This fandom is like a dried-up oasis, to me. For some reason I keep instinctually coming back, but there’s no water left, just sand, and I don’t like sand… and me complaining about the sand just results in a collection of sand people appearing from behind the dunes and ambushing me.

I generally do not like where the show went… and considering how magical this show was to me during Seasons 1-3, I feel a deep, underlying sense of betrayal any time I see anything MLP-related or take part in it. I still like the visual and sound design, but I’m not excited by or interested in the plot and world any more. This show has made too many mistakes, and, like a hard drive that has gathered too much sand, would probably be best with a reformat, especially since the owner of the computer is happy with it and doesn’t see any issues that need correcting.

I’ll hop on board if G5 ever comes around… and I’m keeping my Fallout:Equestria mousepad and my various pony dolls, but I’m about ready for this to end and start over, like a phoenix.

I can’t let this show go because my autistic brain has decided that this is going to be my life obsession. I want it to be better, I really do, but I’m just… disappointed.

I am in no way invalidating y’all’s interpretations of this show or fandom or what made it special to you. Be happy that you came here; this show was the best thing that ever happened to many of us. Just because I feel about ready to jump ship and not swim back doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with the boat or its direction, or that any of you are somehow wrong because you’re happy where you are. I just think this show is no longer for me.

Happy trails, y’all.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Background Pony #AA13
Then she gets a potiongram from another pony telling her it’s time to go. She gives a quick speech about how they’ve made the society they think their ancestors would have wanted, but now they were leaving the cradle for the last time. She says she wouldn’t miss this for anything, turns into a luminous pony of energy, and flies into her pony-shaped biomechanical encounter suit.

We see her ship leaving an empty Equestria and entering a jumpgate, as the Sun goes nova.

If the shows end, I imagine it to end this way: In the last 5 minutes of the show, we catch up with the CMC now the Mane Six’s age, Captain Rainbow Dash of the Wonderbolts, Princess Twilight, ambassador Fluttershy to the creatures of the forest, Professional Party Planner Pinkie Pie, Spike (now an adult) telling fillies about his history with his friends and Rarity being the canterlot pony that she is and same old Applejack. We reach a tibute with flashbacks of the previous episode and we reach the clouds and the screen goes black with a fond farewell song playing. Cut to a distant epilogue where an elderly Twilight (or a same-aged Twilight, is anybody even really sure if Twilight’s Princess status gives her immortality?) writes the final words of her autobiography/scrapbook, titled Friendship Is Magic. The end.

Agent Luna

Even after Earth itself is swallowed by the Sun one day, the show will still go on. A TV floating in space; an alien picks it up and starts creating more episodes where it left off.

The series will never end. It’ll go on till I grow old and after me till there are cyborg humans and cyborg horses that also watch the show and until the whole world is ponified and rainbows and glitter everywhere.

@Copper
that’s something Adventure Time would do mainly at end of a 2 parter I like AT as much as anyone but epilogue should sound like something MLP FIM would actually do

I think that it should be a movie. Oh, you said epilogue? I think that it should have absolutely no dialogue. Princess Twilight Sparkle looking up at the “chandelier” of her old home, and the pictures of her past hanging from the chandelier. She then walks onto the balcony, looking over Ponyville, and smiles fondly at the town. She even looks to Canterlot in the distance. Closing her eyes, a smile upon her maw, and the wind began to blow gently through her mane.

The End.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
