It’s been another four days, and there hasn’t been any changes, so I’m going to assume that this lack of tag changing means that I’m allowed to remove the edit tag from my stuff.

It should be added to theirs. [And nothing is stopping anyone from adding it.]
 
For myself: I just don’t know which works are the edits. Unless they all are. Rather: Which ones contain both artist tags.

But is it really an edit if they’re commissioned? Because that’s essentially what happens. People commission eith Hyperstorm or Blues to colour their already commissioned lineart.

As Ciaran and Myself said. They’re technically edits. We’d just be not counting that tag against you guys for the purposes of Badges or the like.
 
But in all technicality it is an edit. So it should be added to their images as well.

seeing how tags such as ‘upvotes galore’ were removed long ago due to deprecation, shouldn’t the tags regarding file size and resolution be removed as well?

No, because it lets people know how big the image is before opening, it’s useful for systems with low RAM.

Yeah, absurd res is essentially a do not open on mobile warning.

whatever happened to the “upvotes galore” tag anyway? I hardly ever see it these days. I see by Kincyr’s comment it’s been deleted but just curious as to why.

My guess, it was from how it didn’t get a lot of real, proper use.  
Like a few other tags people would just put it there when they upload thinking it will apply, but often time it didn’t.

Upvotes galore was removed, as the same functionality is possible with searching upvotes.gte:350 (I think the limit was 350 upvotes). The search term can be combined with others, for example applejack, safe, upvotes.gte:500

It was also a chore to keep adding it to images that qualified. Using the syntax above gives more accurate results and finer control.

Is batch adding the edit tag to their work being worked on, then? From what my filters let through (Most everything), pretty much all of their work can be considered an “edit”.
 
Seriously though, I do think that at our level of editing, the edit tag is sort of irrelevant, and need not be applied. My impression of the edit tag is for stuff like removing a character, not making a sketch into a fully fledged piece all its own.

The description states that Images of 4000×4000 resolution or greater (Be in width or height, ex 5000x3000). The vector in question has a resolution of 5071x3973.

Means if it’s 20000 x 1000 you would add it, as an example

It would actually qualify for the absurd res tag.

As the description states, the tag applies when either the height, or the width, is superior to 4000px. In your case your width is 5071px, 5071>4000, the image qualifies. I guess you were not sure if both weight and height had to be over the limit, because of the “4000x4000” bit?
