Yeah, I mean, I might have to humanize pony names for the humanized characters, since it’s gonna be a half-humanized half-robotized AU, with some of the robotized ponies using human disguises and aliases.

Sombra finds himself in sprit form, and posses the body of another pony. This is kind of a catch-all premise about him dealing with the everyday antics of whomever he’s in, sometimes fighting to get his own way.
 
Like, for instance, he’s in Rarity. A circus comes to town. He bizarrely gets a burning need to go there and enjoy himself. Cue Rarity’s fear of the clown’s style of dress. She’s screaming one minute and laughing her head off the next.

I had a similar idea once, though it was a much darker take, more Sombra acting as a spirit adviser to Twilight and trying to tempt her down the left hand path.
 
That’s neither here nor there though.
 
I do like the idea of his desires being really super petty things though, like seeing the circus. Villains just wanting something simple is always an interesting take because in a way it humanizes them, makes them less two dimensional.
 
The way I’d go with that one specific scenario though is Fluttershy, since she is canonically scared of most things and I can easily see her straight up being terrified of clowns.

Another good option? A character who claims to be fearless such as Rainbow Dash.
 
Also: What if instead of a Circus it was a Cique du Soleil type thing that only enrages Sombra with its artyness?

Got an idea for a cloppy fic combining many of my fetishes, including but not limited to futa, futa on male, foalcon, Blueblood having sex with princesses, and cum addiction.

For quite a while, I’ve been playing around with an idea I had about a humanized setting. In this particular story, the focus is mainly on Spike. He’s a human-dragon hybrid here- he’s not sure about exactly how much of himself is human and how much is dragon, but knows he’s at least half because he was hatched out of an egg like in the original show.
 
That’s pretty standard for most humanized versions of Spike. What’s different here is that he was born looking like this:  
 
… Okay, maybe it’s not quite that dramatic, but overall he definitely looks more dragon then he does human.
 
But he doesn’t just look different. He stronger, faster, and more resilient than normal humans, he can breathe fire, and he feels emotions much more strongly than a normal human does.
 
And Spike is utterly terrified of himself because of all that. He can hide his real appearance so he looks like a normal human (though whether it’s a disguise Twilight made for him or part of his own power, I haven’t decided just yet), but he always feels that he has to tread very carefully, out of the fear that he might accidentally hurt one of his friends because of his strength.
 
Also, he matures faster than the normal human does, because of his partially Dragon physiology. Meaning, he gets to go through The worst aspects of both human and dragon puberty. Because of his surging hormones, he’s very strongly attracted to all of his friends (including Twilight), but is in incredibly deep denial about it, partially because he’s afraid of hurting them, and partially because he’s afraid that he might lose control and… force himself on them. So, he doesn’t like to spend any time around his friends when they’re alone, on the off chance that something does happen and they can’t fight him off.
 
To put it simply, Spike believes in all sincerity that he’s a monster. And he is terrified that his friends would find out the truth about him, and think the same way.
 
I’m not entirely sure where this fear comes from. I thought about maybe having it tied to some kind of childhood trauma (specifically, an angry mob trying to kill him with Twilight protecting him), or it could be that he simply knows about the reputation of dragons, and is terrified that he might one day become like them. But wherever it comes from, it almost completely paralyzes him.

I wrote a greentext on /mlp/ in response to a b8 thread. The b8 was how Dash was the most popular girl at school in EQG and was a virgin so I wrote a story where all of those things exist only in her mind.

Maybe this would be better as a role play/game/ask blog, but an Infamous-style story that focuses on a young, ambitious changeling super-soldier (a young Queen Chrysalis?) who has to slowly assimilate pony abilities (and possibly other species’ abilities as well) and retake her hive from a rival general. Earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns are the first major “branches” in an a skill/ability tree featuring tracking, gliding, cloudwalking, strength, invisibility spells, finding magnetic fields, etc.
 
From a gameplay perspective, that sort of thing would be a nice justification of the whole “skill tree” mechanic: she’s a shapeshifter, and gradual adaptation to new environments would be right up the changelings’ alley.

I had a similar idea, but working in an Infamous/Zerg/Prototype element would improve it immensely.

Thanks! I feel like it would be a great way to explore both changelings as a species without resorting to “good character discovers they’re a changeling” or “turned into a changeling” tropes, which seems like they’re a little overdone and hard to do well these days. It would also be a nice way to “stat-ify” pony magic and abilities.
 
I actually haven’t played Prototype (yet), but I’ve heard it does have similar elements.
 
What was your similar idea?

One wherein a lone changeling has to stock up on love in Ponyville in a set amount of time. The main challenge would be learning the routines and habits of the townsfolk to feed without being detected to better imitate them or win thier love through a built persona.
 
One element I thought of was dubbed Parasitism, which had the changeling absorb attirbutes via bite from a downed enemy to augment his abilities.

Maybe a high-level Changeling skill would be like the “Patsy” skill in Prototype: You are so skilled that you can instantly shapeshift into anyone AND blame it on the guy you’ve turned into! His buddies will then chase him down, thinking he’s you!

I keep hearing about this Simply Rarity fanfic. Anyone else?
