I hope they don’t change his design, he looked ugly as teenage Spike.
Yeah he kinda did, but then again, since he looked different from when Twi aged him up to in Cutiemark Chronicles, chances are greed growth is artificial and he could look really different by aging normally.
 
Don’t mind about the growth though, but I really want him to get his wings!

will never happen. Since Twi is an Alicorn now, Spike is going to be Twi’s stepping stool forever.

I wonder if they’ll do a time skip in a future season.  
where Spike’s older and shining armor and Cadance’s baby is born. because it took a whole five seasons just for one year to go by, and I don’t really want to wait another four or five seasons for their foal to be born.
