Indeed? The 7/11 I go to occasionally has outdoor handles on the inside, so I pulled the push doors two or three times before I learned from the experience. Every time I leave the building, my hand still prepares to pull, and I have to consciously remind it.
This actually happened to me a few years ago. I was going into Sears with my dad, and I was trying to push open the door when I had to pull. True story. XD
@Antonyourknee
If that’s true, then the humane 7 would be complete morons for not realizing that they needed to pull the door open instead of pushing.
@Scrounge
I get that they needed to create tension for the audience with the humane 7 out of the way of the Dazzlings, and then arguing amongst themselves (it would be stupid to resolve a conflict within seconds of introducing said conflict), but surely they could have done it a better way within this kind of headscratcher.
Maybe if they pointed out that they needed to pull the door instead of pushing, or Trixie somehow managed to get it locked from the outside, I’d be fine with it.
@Krek
They weren’t locked in,the joke is the door opens inward and they were pushing the door outward. And it’s hard to open a door with paws so spike had to find Vinyal to open the door for him.
Again I ask: why is the door locked in the answer? How is it that someone from the outside can open it, but if someone is locked inside, they’re screwed? Shouldn’t it be backwards?
@lunafan22
But Sunset is mostly involved with the human mane six so rather than displace Spike the tag should be “human mane seven” instead to involve her?
I guess we both have these problems. Time to go to the Midvale School for the Gifted!

This sort of thing happens all the time. If you’re going to be watchin any amount of TV or movies, you might as well get used to it. :P

That would imply that one of them let go before Spike got there. Nope, they were all holding it together.
@Krek
If they got dropped through the trap door and just walked right back onstage, that’d make the whole scene basically pointless.

Spike: “The door was only locked one way.”
Because that’s how MLP works. People grab idiot balls until something or someone decides “fuck it” and saves the day for them.
The smartest, I’m telling you
She didn’t really seem to have pulled her weight pushing that door.
Should have checked the hinges, FIRST.
or
USE YOUR HEADS! (figuratively speaking)
Twilight, you don’t deserve a face-hoof. Use the door instead.
Yeah, fucking great, let’s take even more away from Spike than we already do.
Or we could say Mane eight as in the tag?
keep pushing the ball.
so… we need human mane six tag?
But Sunset is mostly involved with the human mane six so rather than displace Spike the tag should be “human mane seven” instead to involve her?
Only one thing can stop the Princess of Friendship: a door.
