They also currently lead the industry in the camera department in smartphones.

Microsoft just last year announced they weren’t going to provide anymore support for the remaining Windows phones out there. Even telling people to move onto iOS or Android devices.  
Such a shame.  
I wish there’s a viable alternative to Android and iOS.

Their marketing is aggressive. That’s for sure. And it’s paid off for them.
 
But. They’re still a shady as fuck company. They have been caught doing shit ranging from unscrupulous advertising and business practices. Stealing trade secrets, copying, among other things.  
And remember who supplies the CCP with the high tech equipment that is being used to oppress their citizens.
 
There are frustrations I’ve heard from people using the device that include this annoying auto-dimming screen and background app-killing tendency all a part of Huawei’s cheap attempt at making their phones appear power efficient.

Then again…
 
I’m using a ZTE phone right now.  
Plan on switching as this phones is getting outdated and slow for my liking. I do game on my phone.

I’m surprised Huawei hasn’t yet inspired a James Bond evil organization.

This is the last time i pay my friend to get me my taco bell.

I don’t think its illegal in the US to go on Amazon and purchase a Huawei phone as a private citizen for private use.
 
But you won’t get any carrier support nor would you be able to use Verizon network and such. GSM like at&t still work from what I heard
