Yay.
My condition hasn’t gotten better. My nose is drippy as hell, my throat is sore, and my ears are painfully clogged. What a way to start my third week at college.

The best way to handle colds, allergies or any illness with mucus problems is to drink lots of water and take guaifenesin (which is basically Mucinex), an expectorant that thins the mucus. You want your mucus to be as watery as possible so that your body can more easily flush it out instead it getting stuck in your ear, nose and throat passages. Also helps to make the air as moist as possible using humidifiers or vaporizers. I just recently suffered a nasty cold myself but I was able to recover pretty well by drinking a lot and taking guaifenesin. It really makes a difference; I was able to save myself from developing a cough by taking plenty of fluids. |
Well, I’ve figured out what is wrong with me: Apparently I have an ear infection from too much mucus buildup.Yay.
