kinda sad that most of the people who pity the girl in the doujin are kinda turned off how the real girl is now IRL (she got older which ruins the sympy factor for some).

 
Fun fact: With Elisa Maza, Gargoyles was one of the first cartoons to feature a black woman (well, half-Native half-black) as its main human character. Talk about diversity done right!

nope but african american main character of a cartoon in the 80s who gets to lead a mostly white team (one of them looks of asian descent).

True enough. Honestly in Gargoyles Elisa’s race is never brought up except when we see her parents and brother. Then again technically the gargoyles themselves are a metaphor for prejudice, and Goliath himself was voiced by black actor Keith David.

Just watched Kubo and the Two Strings. Pretty solid movie, with some good messages that kids should know, though I feel story did fall just a tiny bit short. The soundtrack is great, and the movie looks beautiful. The CGI looks quite like stop moti-
