The de facto 104-key US standard keyboard has both grave (`) and single-quote (‘) keys. FWIW, it’s the same layout as on both my IBM Model M from 1987, and any of the brand new cheapie Dell keyboards that come with their PCs, i.e. it’s pretty widespread and been with us for a while. Click here to see that particular layout, in many different image sizes and formats.
But I believe you that there are those without either key. Just because there’s a US standard doesn’t mean it’s the “right” one, or the “standard” everywhere on the planet. That’d just be silly. :3
