I wholeheartedly agree. 👍

I’m fine with Pipp being a positive portrayal of an influencer. I just believe the pipsqueaks (as a whole, not just those three fillies) are an overly-positive portrayal of what a fandom is. Yeah, a fandom can be pretty chill, but I find it unlikely that one as big as the Pipsqueaks would be as forgiving and supportive of Pipp as the show likes to portray them as.

If Pipp was a TV personality, nobody would be bothered. It’s just cool to hate the idea of influencers. (A hate that’s not entirely unjustified, mind you).

Just as a side note, I love how Issue 3 of the comics quietly implies that Pipp isn’t the sort of person to do OnlyFans.

Man, people need to realize that if they forgive an offense, accidental or not, they’re not doing it for the sake of the offender, but for themselves as in relieving themselves of pain and anger. The show could be trying to get people to be more understanding by setting a good example.

I’m not sure if it will happen.

I feel like the writers and other staff for g5 are much more quiet and low key. They don’t have that public celebrity persona that g4 once had.

They seem much more reserved.

School Raze? I Didn’t like it but it involves a school thingy so I don’t care.

Cutie Remark? Neither could have lower my opinion of any character I had a low opinion at the time already so whatevs.

Uprooted? Just boring, they can take it.

But Fame and misfortune was less of a tale and more of a meta rage, as much as I dislike G5 I draw my line at that.

Fame and Misfortune would feel out of place…if it weren’t for the fact that people projecting onto irl public figures and treating their lives as a story is very much a thing. Just look at Harry Styles and that friend he was shipped with…

I wouldn’t say overly positive, I just see the Pippsqueaks as regular fans who are big fans of their idol, it isn’t like they’ll literally starve themselves to death in the name of Pipp. But I wouldn’t be opposed to an episode where Pipp does something foolish and they call her out for it, that would make for good character development.

I’m fine with creators venting as long as it’s entertaining. Even if all those opinions were not entirely Larson’s, someone at DHX clearly had some things to say. And that’s fine.
