I kinda miss those, and the Amiibo support. It’s kinda a shame Amiibo’s don’t get as much support or love as they used to, but I guess after the drama over “Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival,” (which I didn’t understand, as it comes with two Amiibo, and several Amiibo cards too, so it’s not like they give you nothing with the game.) and Metroid: Samus Returns, (which apparenly required some now hard to find Amiibo to unlock things) Amiibo’s popularity/demand has gone down alot, and some fans gave them a bad rep’, comparing them to cashgrabs, or “loot boxes,” and such. (Even though, most Nintendo games don’t require Amiibo, and such.)
I think Nintendo’s almost afraid to do much with Amiibo nowadays in fear of looking greedy, so they nixed it with most games like the Mario Maker series.
They still seem to have a niché fanbase with some collectors though.
