There have been a number of people throughout history who existed at the Venn diagram overlap of brutal tyrant and incompetent nitwit, just as there have been a number who have entered a fair democratic government and changed it slowly but inexorably into something that was neither of those two things. Trump is just an idiot but he’s not retarded, otherwise he’d be kicked out of the White House for wanting to execute half of his staff. He knows he can’t go onto national TV and say the word nigger, but He’s so dumb he can’t pick the right people for the right jobs because they keep leaving.

Disagreeing with an opinion does not mean someone is against the concept of free speech. It’s only when someone supports banning a man from speaking in public altogether that the accusation would have any merit.

Honestly, i can kinda understand the rationale behind safe spaces, at least in more individual rooms.  
Nobody is obliged to hear your offensive slurs, or your political opinions. If you see a room with “LGBT+ safe space” taped to the door as a sign, i’m afraid it’s best for you not to bother the people inside, because they’ve had enough of you.  
Sure, safe spaces sometimes get big. But the concept itself isn’t entirely irrational. We have to respect restricted areas most of the time.  
the article said that the new law “ensures that our taxpayer-funded college and university campuses remain open for the free, safe, and respectful expression of differing points of view, since, dating back to antiquity, institutions of higher education have served as a forum for free speech and the open exchange of ideas”. Calling students “niggers” or “fags” with malicious intent is simply not respectful. If you are to word your arguments in the most offensive way possible, then i’m afraid it is fair for you to be punished for it through boycott.

In places such as a collage where people should have their views Challenged by students and professors. Not “making a home here” Safe spaces allow them only with people who only think like them.
 
So Vox does a poorly “explanation” of safes spaces since they’re only for a hand-picked few.
 
My guess, they’d be up in arms over “White only” safe spaces for white people to feel safe around other whites.

If it is racist, then so are Black-only spaces as that would be as well, or else this would be a double standard.
 
If you’re going to argue for safes spaces, then you are technically are arguing for a form of segregation.
