According to the previous link the unveiling of the contenders on the 27th and final voting on Feb. 1.

Unfortunately, it seems the voting for contenders is now closed.
 
If you’re curious they were divided into three types: Honor, Order and Chaos.
 
For Honor you had Hound, Ultra Magnus and Arcee. Order had Megatron, Shockwave and Star Saber. Chaos had Optimus Primal, Thunderwing and some mysterious unknown evil (who is totally Deszaras).
 
I voted for Magnus, Saber and Unknown Evil myself (the latter two because I really, really hope that means they could get new toys). Realistically speaking, though, I expect the finalists to boil down to Arcee (a female Prime?! Craaaaazy!), Megatron (holy shit! Megatron Prime?!) and Thunderwing (because it’s Thunderwing, and he has experience with the Matrix).

is it me or they could’ve released this in the night raven S3P colors?

I actually had not read the wiki yet (thanks for the reminder) I just came up with that on my own.
 
But yes as the wiki will remind us she was collage age in AHM (2008).

Does anyone else find it weird that for the first half most of the BWII Predacons were vehicles?

Not really, considering there was supposed to be a sort of “nature versus machines” vibe, at least at first.

But then again they make it clear there was nothing on the planet they had to keep themselves hidden from, so they could go alt-modeless.

According to backstory Beast Wars’ Maximals and Predacons were vehicles too so not particularly. I imagine the designation is just a general, all-encompassing thing without any restrictions on alt-mode.

If I remember right, in BWII the reason given for them needing alt-modes was for somthing like with BW, not energon but somthing in the environment was dangers for them to be in bot mode for long, but that was pretty much thrown out right away with how some bots showed up already with an alt-mode and some started to stay in bot mode longer and longer.

One of the things I love about Uprising is how characters don’t have beast modes (yet) so the writers come up with “virtual” retools based on actual toys.
 
EG Bazooka is Generations Warpath Crazybolt is Reveal the Shield Wreck-Gar and in an interesting (appropriate) case Magmatron is this guy.

I know, right? If any Transformer represents Order, it’d be Shockwave. But considering IDW’s Star Saber…
