Nozdormu better known as “The Timeless One” is the patriarch of the Bronze Dragonflight: one of the Five key Dragonflights that exists on the world of Azeroth in the Warcraft Universe. The Dragonflights were all granted immense powers and abilities by the Titans: the most powerful physical beings of the Warcraft Universe, to protect their world from disasters that the Titans own creations are unable to foresee, with the Bronze Dragonflight being charged with the protection of Time and maintaining the actual Timeline. Basically, the Bronze Dragonflight is like the Time Variance Authority from Loki. Nozdormu was given absolute authority over maintaining the Timeline, but to make sure that the power never went to his head: Aman’Thul, the Titan responsible for charging Nozdormu with his power, granted a single vision to Nozdormu: the exact moment of his death which served to humble Nozdormu from the notion that just because he is a master over Time doesn’t mean that he is exempted from fate.
By the time Adventurers start to learn about the Bronze Dragonflight and approach them for assistance with the timelines, The Bronze Dragons are besieged by an unknown group of Dragons known as The Infinite Dragonflight; who also have the ability to travel through time and are using these abilities to mess with key events in the past to change the present day and create a much different future. As we continue onwards trying to find out more about these Infinite Dragons, we soon learn that they’re actually a future version of the Bronze Dragonflight that had become corrupted by The Old Gods: eldritch beings that have lived on Azeroth for thousands of years, long before other species like the Dragons had existed. The Titans actually waged a war with these things and after Aman’Thul had reached down to pluck Y’Sharajj from thd planet: arguably the strongest of The Old Gods, and crush him in his hand did the Titans resolve to create Titan facilities to imprison the remaining Old Gods since they were all deeply rooted into the planet and would indeed kill it should they be killed as well.
The Infinite Dragonflight was led by a future version of Nozdormu, who had been driven mad by The Old Gods and wanted to change fate out of wanting for their world to find a timeline where they’d be able to survive.

she wanted to stop twilight from getting her cutie mark. “cutie marks for cutie marks” if I recall.

“well, I hope you’re happy with yourself. I didn’t get a cutie mark. great job” <- what it should have been

I dunno, I thought it was pretty straightforward. Like he’s going, “You think this is the worst outcome? Brother, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”

Because that’s what it is, basically. But it’s also quite simple - the place they are in now is the soft version of the End of the World. He also saw the alternate or future Apocalypse that is much worse, hence he says the current version is a blessing. And of course he doesn’t imagine ponies can stop him in his realm…

It’s part of the world of warcraft cataclysm. The dragon is a sort of time warden, he sees pretty much all of time. The thing that was supposed to balance him was that he was also shown his own fate, his death (Which happens shortly after he says this, with the aid of his younger self.) Of all possible outcomes for the world he believed that the end of the world as presented in the instance these quotes are from is preferable to the end of the world as it would be under the rule of the old gods. Because the old gods are eldrich horrors of incredibly evil.

This is a dungeon from World of Warcraft. Titled “End Time” the event takes place 10,000 years in Azeroth’s future. Long story short during Cataclysm it details what will happen is Deathwing succeeds. It also shows Norzdomu decend into madness and become Murozond and his so called “infinite” dragonflight. He is the final boss at the end of the dungeon and his intro is pretty much this.
