The My Little Pony movie is like the G.I. movie because both movies didn’t have any old characters died. And also, Duke was originally gonna be killed off in the film. But due to the reaction and fan backlash of Optimus Prime’s death in the Transformers movie, they choose to change Duke’s death to become a coma in the final film and would come out of it instead. But unlike the My Little Pony movie, the G.I. Joe movie didn’t have any new characters introduced died.
