AU where Spike saves the Mane 6 at the expense of his life.
 
Tirek: Once again, the Magic of Friendship proves to be your greatest weakness. A fitting end to your pathetic story!
 
(Right before Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Chrysalis are about to fire, Spike suddenly breaks free of Twilight’s grip, flies toward, and grabs Grogar’s bell.)
 
Chrysalis: Hey! Give that back, you annoying little brat!
 
Spike: You want it? Come get it!
 
Tirek: Fine. If that’s how you want your short, miserable life to end, then so be it.
 
(All three villains begin firing at Spike, but he has a plan. Fly toward the fiends and get them to fire at the bell. He flies toward them t an incredible speed as the Mane 6 watch in shock.)
 
Twilight: Spike, What are you doing?! You’re going to get killed!!
 
Spike: Twilight, don’t worry about me! Just get the girls away from here!
 
(Sure enough, Tirek blasts the bell and it suddenly explodes, blasting the three villains away and critically injuring Spike.)
 
(The girls look back and see Spike on the ground, his abdomen scales charred, and what’s left of the bell resting on his chest.)
 
Rarity: Spikey-wikey, NO!!! (sobs).
 
Spike: (groans) Twilight. Girls. (coughs blood).
 
Twilight: Spike! Hang in there, I have to have a spell that can fix this!
 
Spike: Twilight, there’s nothing you can do. I know I’m going to die, and I don’t want you to worry. I’m going to a better place. No matter what happens You’ll always carry me in your heart. I love you…Mom.
 
Twilight: Spike,no! SPIKE, NO!!!
