@LaszlVFX
Sprout is already friends with Hitch and Sunny. Unlike Starlight, he’s not some random stranger being forced into the group. Not to mention he’s also soft met Izzy. Now that non earth ponies are welcomed in Maretime Bay, the most anticipated perspective is actually from Sprout now.
Hitch told Sprout “not to start a war” before he left. This suggests Sprout has history doing really crazy things and Hitch knows it. If Sprout has done way crazier things in the past, the stuff he did in the movie is gonna be a big nothing burger. They’ll be like “Yup, that’s Sprout for you.”
For all we know, everytime Sprout screws up, he does something to make up for it even if no one asks him to. Nothing in the movie suggests against it and nothing in the movie suggests any pony has animosity towards Sprout. So he must be doing something right. Sprout was never given the chance to prove himself and people are already judging him for it.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Right… and her intention which was worse than Sprout’s was just forgotten. So if someone with an intention to doom everything out of petty revenge was forgiven then so should a pony who had the intention to protect his town which he was taught to do so in his whole life.
@LaszlVFX
to quote what happened to that alternate timeline where biff owns everything in back to the future 2: “it was erased just as it started”, so in reality starlight didn’t alter anything with the timeline.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Except in G4 the mane 6 just accepted Starlight’s reformation just after she tried to doom Equestria in the season 5 finale. I doubt it’s gonna take much for Sprout to be involved in the main group.
@hironakamura
all right, if sprout is gonna part of the main group, he first need to prove that he’s reform, and after what he did, it’ll only be quite some time until anyone sees he’s changed especially sunny, and will offer him redemption by then, much like how the mane 6(g4) had taken their time in accepting discord’s reformation, and if sunny and the others just forgets what he did and accepts him like that, it would make NO sense from a story standpoint
@Shimmering Spectacle
Yeah I missed the part in the movie where all earth ponies knew that. What makes you think they knew they were paranoid when that’s the stuff they were taught in schools? Why is Sprout singled out just because he doesn’t posses the knowledge of the person watching the movie?
@hironakamura
Izzy didn’t do anything to the town, it’s just their paranoia towards Unicorns getting to them, she couldn’t even hurt a fly due to her pinkie pie like personality.
plus I forgot to say that attacking someone while they’re defenseless would be considered a war crime irl, which I’m well aware that a British soldier spared Hitler’s life during WW1, and was wounded too(I’m not making this up, he really did spared his life), if he didn’t then he would commit a war crime and likely change the events of what happened after that war.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Funny you should mention that because in Injustice, Superman WAS a dictator.
Sprout WAS defending his home. That IS how you defend your home against an enemy that attacked first. After suffering a unicorn attack earlier, what would you have him do? NOTHING? Would you just wait around and watch your fellow towns folk die by having their brains fried? What if they all get killed by magical horn lasers?
What would YOU do if you’re in charge of protecting others from being killed/eaten by super scary maniacs. How could you blame Sprout for doing what he did just cause he cracked a light house?
@hironakamura
At least superman isn’t like Joseph Stalin, cause sprout was looking so much like him, causing everyone of his kind to follow him without knowing what will happen no the other 2 species after defeating them, especially trying to attack them without warning.
Besides if he instead defend his home in a proper manner, rether them putting other lives at risk, it would’ve simply turn differently.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Sprout was also doing what he thinks was right. He was protecting his home from unicorns that can fry their brains with magical horn lasers. Why is he different?
@hironakamura
cause sunny and others was doing what they think is right, and cause that living in isolation, a lie, and in despair is something that on one would want.
@Shimmering Spectacle
Well then enlighten me. What did it cause and why is it so bad compared to Sunny causing anarchy at Canterlogic every year or Hitch practicing nepotism to let his friend off the hook when she break the law. What about Zipp stealing things that belong to her mom or Pipp benefiting from a big fat lie that got them arrested. What about Izzy initiating a unicorn attack? Maybe its you that don’t understand what those actions caused.
Explain to me why you think Sprout’s the only bad one. Was it because he destroyed a light house? Izzy’s stunt could’ve cause one pony to drown. What if a foal got trampled when they were all running away? Have you thought of that?
@Shimmering Spectacle
If Spike was under greed and Rarity was under a spell, why is it different when Sprout was only following exactly what he was raised to believe since childhood?
Spike was biology. Rarity was a spell. Sprout was raised to believe that earth ponies are supposed to kick unicorn and pegasi butts. That’s what they were taught in school. This was specifically explained at the start of the movie. So why is Sprout discriminated against?
@Grapefruit Face
“Re-color of Rainbow Dash” Who? Sunny? The fact that Pipp got third place is still an accomplishment given the low amount of screen time she had.
Yes! He deserve more love and attention!

He wasn’t targeting the light house. He was targeting the enemy who was hiding in the light house.
by destroying someone’s home that’s of his own kind?

sprout did the same action towards sunny’s home, as tirek did to twilight’s at the time, and twilight herself was rightfully pissed.

Well, I can agree in that Sprout is awesome ^ w ^

i hate to say this, yet it seems you’re missing the point of what sprout’s actions had caused.

NAAAH… Not really 😀
Because Sprout is awesome and he needs to be in the group. His popularity has started to grow finally.

It’s too easy when female characters get so much porn, isn’t it?
