Well, there are some differences between the trigonometric functions and identities used by various historical cultures and those we use today. It’s possible that Equestrian trig still depends on now-obscure functions like the haversine.
Fair enough. The number base could definitely be a stumbling block.
It’s probably just different methodology and/or terminology. Maybe she’s accustomed to using something other than base-10, or “new math”, or whatever. There are many possible reasons why it might be confusing to her.
Sorry, I know I should just enjoy the cute, sleep-deprived, humanoid Purplesmart, but throwing around random terminology for the sake of sounding smart irks me.
