Her redemption was literally a crappy montage and a song at the end of S05. S06 was used to make her keep screwing things up her “graduation” was a cruel teasing that felt like “Lol, u really thought you would be free of her?”  
I know some people likes her and other people likes her a bit too much, but as far I’m concerned, she always will be nothing more than the worst character I’ve ever seen on my whole life, and trust me when I say I’ve seen lots of rally, really shitty characters to have as a reference.
 
For what’s worth, I liked her under Larson’s direction.

Also, wasn’t it revealed at the end that the kids and Pinkie were only PRETENDING to be scared of Luna? Because they’re assholes.

It’s understandable if you felt Starlight motives to be evil were “fragile”. But after she would be reformed, she had a lot of inner spirits saying her pardon wasn’t complete.

Honestly, though, MLP has never really been all that great with redemptions.

Well, Pinkie was at least. I think the kids really WERE scared. And a few of the adults were also actually scared I think.

Oh, Sunset’s redemption was GREAT, but like Starlight, it was a bit rushed initially. All of the reformations in this iteration of the franchise have had the problem of being rushed initially and then being handled better AFTER the initial reformation moment.

Let’s just hope the final season do not end with Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy reforming as well.

I believe you didn’t watch any kind of anime. Anyways, Im agree Starlight had a lot of common sense problems during season6. However she always showed regrets by that. Even in ELTSD Twilight had been more strict and don’t reward her with the chillax moment.

It initially wasn’t good in the first EQG. They had to make an entire movie to completely fix it
 
I will say at the very least they didn’t make it easy for her

Hell, I’m honestly glad she had a relapse in ELTSD like that. It showed that she WASN’T perfect and still struggled with things.

The best character to be reformed in Equestria Girls was Wallflower Blush, even if every Equestria Girls is a rehash.

Yeahhh, actually Im always like Starlight in that episode. My main complain was Twilight by her discipline lacking. At least I wanted a dissappointed stare. Celestia even have made a lot of them with Twilight.

Maybe, but Twilight needs again her dissapointed stares, like with Spike in her unicorn seasons.

Starlight is my favorite pony, but it’s boring that they always talk only about her.

Dude, I’ve watched lots of anime and I’ve seen lots of really, really retarded anime adaptations, like for example Toriko and how a great bad guy (Midora) was turned into shit because the anime staff decided to add their own “touch” to the Manga’s original vision.
 
Starlight still comes out as worse, which is the main reason why I don’t understand why so many people are so obsessed with her at the point of treating her not just as a real person, but also as the girlfriend they don’t have and who’s honor must be defended at any cost.

There’s an expression that we have in the South: “The path to hell is paved with good intentions.”

See, that’s exactly what I’m talking about: Starlight initially embodied that saying, but since then they’ve basically ignored any good intentions she had in favor of “She was 100% evil.”

On the other hand, I believe Starlight is the most “human” villain we had in MLP. Stumbling with the same rock more than once time and making some ilogical decisions.

I want to see Starlight Glimmer and Flash Sentry meet in Equestria Girls and become just friends. After all he’s friends with Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer now and probably Trixie as of Good Vibes.
