Not that I agree with expecting an artist to work for free (or artists underselling themselves), but if you refuse to pay to have work done, you might want to check out some of the free request taking threads that are already up in this forum.

I’m looking for an artist who’d draw my oc Snowball, and maybe help me get a profile pic for Derpibooru, I know not many people will really do it for free, but I am accepting any art possible from anyone who is willing to draw! Thanks so much, it means alot to me to get artwork!

Cool, I like to think up crossover art ideas as well! And I think mine aren’t as ridiculous as Cartunelover’s, hopefully. The thing is, I either don’t have the motivation or the talent to draw them.

Thought I responded to this… I said neigh mostly. I’m abnormally picky about it.

It has however funded a background painter for my cartoons. 4 which are premiering at bronycon next week

I do have one. But I’m not expecting anyone from here to donate.

Anatomy studies and stuff

I generally like anthros that have the more horse-like legs and such, or at least make the body a bit fuzzy. Anthros that look like someone just put a pony head on a recolored human body (sometimes without tail) irk me.

It’s really hard to say what does and doesn’t make something attractive to any one person, but I’d definitely have to agree with the idea that it’s exotic and different. Especially with how things like ears and tails can be very expressive and can also add to the emotions conveyed in a picture. That’s actually one of the things I hate the most, is when people don’t take advantage of such things to convey emotion in furry or pony art.
 
You know, I think that’s actually what originally drew me into being a fan of My Little Pony, was how well the show uses things like their ears and wings. Also too, I think that’s what makes me so interested in doing original species like lamias, is that it opens up so new possibilities.
 
Also if you don’t mind a little personal opinion (because why not post it lol), I’m actually the complete polar opposite in opinion to you on anthro pony art. I’m interested in humanizations and especially putting a human and pony together because it’s a lot of fun making them interact, but I’ve always been “meh” about anthros at best. It’s not to say that I even dislike them, but given the choice I would take a pony or a humanization over an anthro any day of the week with very few exception.

Oh yeah I forgot about that program I tried that too for a little while but I think the interface scared me off I tend to be impatient with that sort of thing which is unfortunate Since I’m trying to use Blender
