We have sent out all the PMs to those who were accepted. If you didn’t receive a PM, fret not, you’ll have an opportunity to apply again in the future whenever we open the staff applications again, and if you are especially active and helpful in the community we might contact you in the future outside of normal openings. We are always on the lookout for those who contribute the most to the site.

We have received 39 total applications (excluding one duplicate, one mistaken application, and four troll applications), which is far more than we could ever hope for. We thank all of you who applied from the bottom of our heart for your interest and your wish to help the site, but we just can’t accept all 39 of you, we simply don’t have enough resources to train so many new staff members.

We’ve got an overwhelming number of applications but we’ve been sorting out through them and it’s the interview that really decides if we hire someone or not. If you want, you can still send in your application and have the same chances as anyone else.

How many are you “volun-hiring”? Is it still worth it to put in an application if a person (pony) is interested?

What’s the interview process like? Is it a zoom call?

All staff are in the staff chat, where we typically discuss moderation matters, as well as matters of where to take the site. You’d be able to participate in such discussions if you are to be accepted. Final decisions are always in the hands of admins and senior staff, but we listen to all input.

It could be nice but besides those jobs is there any input we would have on the site?

I for one, welcome our future pony overlords.

Ngl I was gonna say, this site needs more staff atm, the moderation system is running incredibly slow to what it should be, theres so many reports still not responded to as well as posts in site & policy that have had zero response or action to.

Honestly, I’d be interested to help but idk if I can this current time as I am already dealing with a lot of issues/stress in the real world. But maybe at later date/time I would. shrug

But eh whatever, I’ll make a application because I might be better in the next day or week or so-

We’ve received a fair amount of applications and have sorted through them. Some of the candidates have already been marked for an interview, while some will need further review by our team. The applications are still open until Sunday, October 31, 23:59 UTC. We’ll contact those who have passed for an interview in the following week or so. If you passed, you should receive an on-site PM before Sunday, November 14, 23:59 UTC.

I’ve been noticing that it’s taken some time to merge duplicates lately. Now that I’m using the site more regularly again, I’d love to help with duplicates or tagging.

In case my autism wasn’t already very apparent, HS, that dang last question will blow it up to everyone’s faces.
