They could technically still have that as the series final, considering ( apparently ) Twilight is still living in the Library in Ponyville.
 
I don’t think ( show wise ) they will give Twilight her own kingdom, something tells me that Celestia will pass on ( or the very lease stand down ) and Twilight will take her place as co-ruler with Luna ( or maybe Luna will also pass on/stand down and Twilight on her own ).
 
of course the other Mane 6 will have there own thing too.
 
Rainbow Dash becomes a full fledged member of the Wonderbolts.
 
Rarity opens her store in Canterlot ( and maybe starts a chain of clothing stores ).
 
AppleJack becomes the new head of the farm.
 
Fluttershy opens a clinic that takes in ANY type of animal and teaches others how to take care of them.
 
Pinkie…I don’t know. Becomes Mayor of Ponyville?
 
Any way the best shot I think they could end with the series is ( while Twilight/The Mane 6 narrate the final friendship lesson you mention ) Rainbow Dash performing a Sonic Rainboom at one of her shows, it cuts to each member of the Mane 6 ( each currently in a different part of Equestria ) as they look upon it in the sky, finally we cut to a worms eye view of Equestria as the Sonic Rainboom covers the sky and the image turns into that of a story book with the word “The End” underneath the picture as the Elements of Harmony book ( from Se1Ep1 ) closes.
 
Wow. did not mean to go on that long sorry. Anyway as for the actual post. If Se4 is not the last Season then look for another half Season most likely it means we will be getting another movie, now weather it’s a FiM movie EQG2 or some new pony IP I don’t know.

Because Its rated TV Y. if it was rated Yv or G they might pull it off but with the current rating it would look cheesy. not that I am comlaining but there are things that would just look stupid in mlp but look badass in other shows

Honestly, though, what’s the deal with putting a female protagonist going on a journey full of peril and wonder which results in her emerging a stronger, better person through loss and realization? Why can’t we have that in Pony form with Twilight Sparkle?
 
Hell, why can’t we have that with female protagonists in GENERAL? The only thing I see with those inherent characteristics in the majority of fiction in fantasy and the like are in those where the protagonist is MALE. What happened to putting a girl in those situations?

EqG was always intended to be that anyway. Its run was more of a promo than anything.

Straight-to-DVD’s always been a good market since DC started finding success there.

What’s stopping them? A period in the late 90s/early 2000s where a ton of cartoons all got theatrically released movies that all flopped horribly.
 
The fact that it was clearly never intended to have a theatrical release shows that it was just a test to see if people would see a cartoon movie. Like I said, FiM will probably get a movie of its own, theatrical or not.

Then they decide on Equestria Girls 2: Electric Bugaloo.
 
In all honesty, after the mediocrity of the first one, I have no doubts on this one if and when it comes out.
 
I’m not hating on the humans or anything, though. I’m hating on story, pace, characters being interchangeable. I mean, come ON. We’ve had Ego Trip and Mask of the Phantasm, for crying out loud. What’s stopping Hasbro from going the same way as those two movies? They were excellent!

Yeah, wouldn’t doubt that a FiM movie that gets a wide release is on the table.

Well considering that Equestria Girls was successful at the box office, I’m assuming the chances of us getting another movie is pretty good.

Those are mostly useless, but I get the feeling that FiM might break the whole “TV cartoons don’t make money off of movies” fear that has been happening since the 90s.
 
Maybe as the series finale or close towards it.

Can you explain this to me? I haven’t seen Futurama to get what your saying.

EQG destroyed any hopes I had that they might do a half-decent feature-length piece for FiM. Might as well stick to episode-length stories if THAT clusterfuck is what happens when they try to extend it.

I’d love to see an actual honest-to-god FiM movie. Naturally, that means we won’t get it.
 
My original thought on this, prior to M.M.C. bucking everything up, was it would be a great way to wrap up Gen4, with some sort of awesome action sequence setup, then ending with Twilight finally leaving Ponyville for good to go wherever, and all the ponies going their separate ways. The lesson being: “Times change. Ponies come and go. But even though you’re apart, the moments you shared together were real and helped make you who you are now; your friends will always be your friends.”

Has an actual movie of the show been considered by anyone who has worked on the show?

I’ve been wanting a FIM movie for two years. The closest we have gotten was A Canterlot Wedding which I think could have been released as a great movie if it were a half hour longer.
 
Maybe near the end of season 4 for the 2014 summer movie season? One thing is for sure: if a FIM movie is going to be made we’ll know about it months in advance.

Best bet for a movie would be a one off adventure involving the mane cast. I’m all for the Viking Caribou of the Northern Tundra.

I don’t think the series finale being a movie would be a good choice, the end will become easily forgettable by people and some will think it’s “filler”, like some do with Equestria Girls.

I doubted at a MLP movie, after i see Equestria Girls, it’s very likely we’ll get another one.
