Just watched episode 4. Gideon’s father seems like a nice enough guy, makes you wonder how Gideon himself turned out to be such a monster. One theory I read on TvTropes says he’s a genuine sociopath; he is literally unable to feel for other people, manipulating them like tools is the only thing he knows how to do.

Just watched the next episode, and I’m a little sad that I never did things like break into an abandoned place with friends. I never actually hung out with friends. I had them, of course, I just never spent time with them outside of school. I had a boring childhood/teen-years.

The only fun thing I did as a child would be crossing train tracks and this considerably perilous walk with my older brother through a trailer park that ended up with our pants and socks being soggy.
