I don’t know why some people are considering that cozy deserves another chance, when she clearly cause so many crimes, especially when almost causing a civil war with two other villains.

Why shouldn’t the trio apologize for everything they’ve done to him and his friends and Equestria as a whole? Discord isn’t obligated to apologize to them because they in no way deserve it or have any remorse for anything theyve done to innocents. Your trying to imply the trio are better people than discord which simply isn’t true unless u looked at a different show

Being morally grey is one thing. Doing horrible things and getting away with it is another. Discord did a horrible thing in s9, didn’t apologize and got away with it. And really, you can argue that the trio were just imprisoning him after graciously letting him go. What makes his actions even worse is that this was the third time he did something horrible after being given a second chance after said second chance took place after he expressed no remorse. After a while, you got to question just how much one could get away with as long as they say their sorry when others don’t even get nearly as much chances as them.
 
Yes, everyone should have argued against turning them to stone, but we got to remember that it was Discord’s idea after he led them along. He did it with a grin and begged Celestia and Luna to let him/join him. As for the murder attempts, they were literally in a fight. And really, the trio seemed to be oddly merciful in not killing anyone, even when there were plenty of opportunities to do so. As for the promise of coming back, I see that as no different to when Discord mocked the ponies for trying to reform him right after they were gracious enough to let him go.
 
The fact that the princesses decided to punish them in such a manner and no one stepped in to protest after all the villain reformations they saw is hypocritical.

I mean im not really saying its exactly “ok” arguing something is right or wrong or not isn’t exactly the 100% point of characters like antihero characters like discord there meant to be morally gray. Im not saying discord is a saint but more of that implying that saying he isn’t a better person than the s9 trio ignores aspects of his character. This is CONSTANTLY ignored but discord WASN’T forgiven until he expressed genuine remorse a willingness to make things right and putting himself in danger to do so, he also was punished by being imprisoned truly called out and being dragged on a chain by the trio.
 
I have been in many discussion arguing for the fact that the trio did get a chance so i wont go into that again. But i will say even if that was true the sole blame of that shouldn’t be solely put on discord, literally anyone with more friendship experience could have argued for them not being in stone. They also weren’t stoned until after many attempts of murder and after chrysalis made it known they will return again and never change, the princesses had also already decided to punish them. So at the very least the characters sure as heck shouldn’t be treated as being as cruel as the trio even if one wants to argue hypocrisy.

She literally wasn’t though. She was never offered or given a chance or received any sort of rehabilitation effort, which a school simply isn’t. And really, because they were bad that makes it ok for Discord to randomly kidnap them, force them to work for him, use lies, threats and false promises to get his way to eventually set them up for failure and all of that AFTER all the chances he received?
 
No, what Discord did was horrible and the fact that he never got punished for it while the trio didn’t even get any sort of help to change is utterly unfair and hypocritical.

Im not saying what he did was exactly ethically correct but more of arguing for the fact that his reasoning for doing what he did wasn’t for the sake of doing evil in anyway shape or form. Ofc what discord did causing chaos to help friends would only seem right to him and not to say anyone normal.

Cozy was given a chance when she was at a school of friendship while having multiple friends. Your comparing keeping a bunch of unambiguously evil individuals in line to the villains in s9 who want to enslave a country full of innocents simply because they want power. Its not the same. Nothing that discord did to the trio is anything they didn’t wish to do upon the innocents of Equestria.

Where was that remorse before they decided to give him a chance? And remember, he did all of that AFTER he reformed. And let’s not forget the ways he abused the trio, who at that point were already punished.
