TLDR Phil was the developer behind a popular indie game called FEZ and then he stared in a documentary about Indie games and that gave him more mainstream attention.
 
Eventually he turned out to have a giant ego and became a massive asshole, and he decided to ragequit and cancel the sequel to the game FEZ as a “fuck you” to everyone.

Also on the topic of video games, a lot of the more hardcore/annoying gamers need to realise that there is nothing wrong with someone paying a game on a low or easy difficulty

I do encourage them to play at a higher difficulty if they understand the game very well, but I try to not force them.

Well, as an example, I had spent all my childhood and teenage years referring to myself as a person with Asperger’s syndrome, but then it became problematic to say that and so I had to start saying I have high-functioning autism.
 
But then people decided I couldn’t say that, either, so I had to start saying I’m a “person with autism.”
 
And now I’m hearing that even saying that is a problem, and I have to say I’m an “autistic person”?
 
Perhaps I’m reading too deeply into this, but I kind of find it a little moronic that people who don’t have the condition get to tell me, someone who does have the condition, how to refer to myself.
 
I recall reading that something similar happened with American Indians/Native Americans/Indigenous people, where white people kept telling them what to call themselves.

It’s easier for some people to sleep if you seem like something they have control over. I say just say you have Asperger’s syndrome and let them be uncomfortable if it bothers them that much.

Deathcore isn’t really that much of bad metal genre. It’s it’s audience and it’s culture.

TL;DR She was accused of sleeping with a gaming journalist to get good reviews on her game, and instead of trying to dispute the claims, she became the first gaming industry person to use the “misogynistic” argument against her critics. And everything after that was history.
